This newly formed network of researchers from The Ohio State University, University of Kentucky, West Virginia University, Marshall University, the University of Cincinnati and Ohio University “is committed to addressing the significant health challenges and disparities specific to Appalachia by enhancing research collaborations to speed the translation of scientific discoveries to health improvements for this region.”

Ohio State Rural Health Association

This newly formed partnership with the State Office of Rural Health and the National Rural Health Association, ARHI is leading the development of the Ohio State Rural Health Association, which is “dedicated to advocating for rural health, promoting interprofessional networking between rural stakeholders, reaching out to rural health professionals in rural communities, and supporting education through skill building workshops, reports, and conferences on rural health issues. The ORHA hopes to promote an improved the level of health and access to health services for rural Ohio, to serve as a unified voice promoting rural health and to provide a forum for the exchange of information.”
